Adrian Llorente Martin

IB Spanish Teacher, PE Teacher

Born in Spain, Mr. Adrian has worked in Morocco, Italy, China and Kuwait, spanning three continents. After coming to China, Adrian worked at the International School in Beijing for four years, the first as a teaching assistant in Design and Technology, the second as an IBDP Spanish Teaching Assistant in Spain, and then as a HS Spanish teacher. Mr. Adrian holds a bachelor's degree in education from the Open University of England, a PGCE degree from the University of East London, a DELE (Certificate in Foreign Language Teaching in West 1) from the Cervantes Institute in Spain and a university diploma in design and audiovisual communication from a Spanish university. He is also a qualified and certified basketball and football coach. Teacher Adrian's goal is not only to teach, but also to ensure that his students value learning and become lifelong learners.

Until 2016, Adrian ran a small telecommunications project company in Spain, which he now uses to promote interdisciplinary learning and develop students' independent understanding. He believes that the ability to observe is an important ability in the teaching process, because it allows teachers to discover and pay attention to the needs of students in a timely manner.
