Maria Milova
IB Arts & Design Teacher
Maria Milova grew up in Beijing and attended Chinese, Russian and Pakistan International schools. For higher studies, she attended Central Academy of Fine Arts, where she received a bachelor's degree in Art History and a master's degree in Jewelry Design. Maria speaks three languages, her teaching experiences include IB PYP and MYP Art, IGCSE Art, AP Art, and more. In previous educational settings, Maria set up art galleries and art exhibitions, established new art classrooms, and designed school event concepts. Under Maria's guidance, her students were shortlisted and recognized in international art exhibitions. Outside of teaching, Maria has working experience in Jewelry Design, Graphic Design, Marketing and Vlogging. Her Jewelry collection “Modern Plique-a-jour” won first place in a Chinese National Jewelry Competition among all jewelry design graduates of 2015 across China. Furthermore, her jewelry collection was displayed in various galleries in China and Europe. External experiences in the art fields and rich educational background contribute to her teaching expertise. As a teacher, Maria is eager to pass on her knowledge to the younger generation. As a student of art, she is always looking forward to observing the world through another creative scope.
Our Program
Based on the implementation of the CNC curriculum and IB PYP/MYP teaching methodology, strategies and assessments are being creatively blended. BES is committed to cultivating and educating future designers, change-makers and innovators.
