Stepan Chernetskiy
IB Performing Arts (Drama) Teacher
Stepan graduated from the Central Academy of Drama with a master's degree in film and theater and has since created several short films and scripted shorts. His work as a screenwriter, director and producer has won awards at international film festivals in the UK, Turkey and Russia. As an actor, Stepan has starred in Chinese films and TV shows such as Road Cafe, The Sun Rises, and various commercials for Oppo and Vivo. For several years, Stepan has been teaching drama and public speaking at theater centers, schools and camps across China. He has worked with young actors of all ages and directed shows, musicals and films such as Treasure Island, Winnie the Pooh, Matilda, The Wizard of Oz, Little Women and Harry Potter. In theater classes and extracurricular activities, Stepan also teaches filmmaking, stop-motion animation, and character animation.
